This year’s theme, 'The Methodological Mosaic: Diverse Methods for an Evolving Healthcare Landscape', celebrates the rich and interconnected approaches used to study behaviour in healthcare. We invite abstracts for both methodological and empirical papers that reflect this theme—whether you are applying innovative techniques or drawing on classical methods to explore behaviour in healthcare settings.

Abstract submission

You are invited to submit an abstract for one of the following presentation formats:

1. Short oral communications - 10 minute live presentations where authors present their research in front of an audience at one of the conference sessions with an opportunity for Q&A.

2. Poster presentation - Scientific poster to be available for viewing in the conference common areas, with the opportunity to discuss the work and answer questions during networking times.

Abstracts can be submitted for completed projects or nearly completed works in progress. Work that has been accepted by a peer-reviewed journal and is "in press" at the time of abstract submission is acceptable. Work that has been presented at another meeting or that has been accepted for presentation elsewhere is also acceptable. We will not be accepting work that has appeared in print by the time of abstract submission.

All abstracts must be a maximum of 350 words and can include one table or figure if necessary. All abstracts must be submitted in English. Authors will be asked to confirm that ethical approval has been obtained where required, and acknowledge any use of AI in the development of the abstract.

Once received, abstracts will be reviewed by two reviewers and evaluated on merit. Prizes will be awarded for the best poster and oral presentations.

BSAH Conference Registration

Registration for BSAH 2025 in London includes access to all conference sessions and poster area, coffee and tea breaks, lunch for both the conference days and the conference dinner. Registration for 2025 is 300GBP.

Registration for either day of the meeting (December 4th or 5th) is available, and includes access to all conference sessions and poster area, coffee/tea breaks, and one-day lunch. If you register for Thursday, December 4th, the conference dinner is included.
